Welcome to the Youth Innovation Hub (the “Hub”). By accessing or using our website, platform, and services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). Please read them carefully before registering as a member, enrolling in programs, or participating in competitions.
- Overview of the Youth Innovation Hub
The Youth Innovation Hub is a platform designed to empower young innovators through education, mentorship, and opportunities. Our programs and competitions are designed to develop skills in technology, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and more.
- Membership
- Membership is Free: All users must register for a free membership to access the Hub’s services.
- Mandatory Membership for Program Enrollment: Only registered members can enroll in the Hub’s programs or participate in competitions.
- Google Registration: Members can register using their Google accounts. By doing so, members agree to the Hub’s Privacy Policy and Google’s terms.
- Program Structure
AI Foundation Program
- The AI Foundation Program is mandatory and serves as the foundation for all other programs.
- This program is offered free of charge to all members.
- Completion of the AI Foundation Program is required before members can enroll in premium programs.
Premium Programs
The following programs are premium and require a fee for enrollment:
- Virtual Assistant
- Digital Innovation
- Idea Incubation
- Entrepreneurship
- Collaboration
- Sustainability
- Climate-Smart
- Green Technology
- Enrollment Requirements: Members must complete the AI Foundation Program before enrolling in any premium program.
- Multiple Program Enrollment: Members can enroll in more than one program simultaneously.
Enrollment Process
- Members must log in to the Hub’s Learning Management System (LMS).
- Navigate to the desired program and click “Apply.”
- Enrollment is confirmed upon payment of the program fee (for premium programs).
- Competitions
The Hub organizes innovation competitions to encourage creativity and problem-solving.
- Participation Requirements: Only registered members are eligible to participate.
- Submission Criteria: Participants must submit their ideas or projects through the LMS within the specified deadline.
- Winners and Rewards: Winners will be facilitated for incubation opportunities through the Hub’s partners, which may include mentorship, funding, or additional training.
- Fees and Payment
- AI Foundation Program: Free for all members.
- Premium Programs: Fees vary by program and will be displayed during the application process.
- Payment Policy: All payments must be made prior to program access.
- Refund Policy: Refer to Section 9 (Cancellations and Refunds) for details.
- Code of Conduct
By using the Hub’s services, you agree to:
- Treat all participants, mentors, and staff with respect and professionalism.
- Submit original work for competitions and programs. Plagiarism or intellectual property theft is strictly prohibited.
- Avoid misuse of the Hub’s resources or engaging in disruptive activities.
The Hub reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of the Code of Conduct.
- Intellectual Property
- All program materials, including videos, guides, and assignments, are the intellectual property of the Youth Innovation Hub or its partners.
- Participants retain ownership of their competition submissions but grant the Hub and its partners a non-exclusive license to showcase, promote, or mentor those ideas.
- Privacy Policy
The Hub’s Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and protection of your personal information. By registering, you consent to the terms outlined in the Privacy Policy.
- Cancellations and Refunds
- AI Foundation Program: No cancellations or refunds apply as the program is free.
- Premium Programs:
- Refunds are available within 7 days of payment if no materials have been accessed.
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to refund@youthinnovationhub.org.
- No refunds will be issued after 7 days or if program materials have been accessed.
- Competitions Policy
- Evaluation: Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on predefined criteria such as innovation, feasibility, and impact.
- Rights to Ideas: The Hub and its partners may showcase or promote winning ideas. Participants retain full ownership of their ideas unless otherwise agreed.
- Disqualification: Submissions containing plagiarized content or violating the Code of Conduct will be disqualified.
- Security
The Hub implements security measures to protect user data and accounts. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials.
- Changes to the Terms
The Hub reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes through email or platform announcements.
